Lake Champlain is the 6th largest lake in the USA. It is the next largest lake after the Great Lakes and in fact there was a bill proposed in Congress to make it part of the Great Lakes. The bill failed, but LC is the Greatest Lake. It borders Vermont, Upstate New York and Canada. It is 15 miles wide, 115 miles long and 400 feet deep.
